Imagine a journey where every road leads to new discoveries, every stop is a chance to create cherished memories, and every moment is shared with your loved ones. This isn’t a dream—it’s the reality of my family’s incredible road trip from Hyderabad to Tirupati Balaji, all made possible by the unique and exciting Motohom Caravan.
As the sun welcomed the start of our journey, we were determined to make the most of this road trip and explore every opportunity. The initial breathtaking sight was the Motohom Caravan itself, a perfect fusion of luxury and comfort. Seated on its cozy sofas, we marveled at the vehicle’s beauty and eagerly uncovered its features. As we hit the road, we took a pause before entering the highway to enjoy a delightful local breakfast. The thela vendors served us freshly prepared Idli, dosa, and vada, complete with their signature chutney and sambar. These dishes, renowned in Hyderabad, proved both delicious and affordable. Energized, we continued our journey on NH44 highway, aiming to cover a distance of 590 km before reaching the sacred Tirupati Balaji temple.
Comfort on wheels:
The comfy seats in the Motohom Caravan grabbed our attention right away. They were like a cozy bed and a sofa combined, inviting us to relax as we traveled. It wasn’t just any seat; it felt like a safe and comfortable spot where we could take it easy, watch the world outside, or even read a book. The level of comfort was unlike anything we had experienced before, making the whole journey feel like an enjoyable adventure all on its own. When we sank into those soft cushions, it was as if we were wrapped in a warm hug. The caravan became our peaceful oasis, a calm escape from our everyday routines. Through the windows, we could see the passing scenes – rolling landscapes, charming towns, and changing skies – all of it felt like a magical show unfolding just for us. And it wasn’t only about relaxing; the comfy sofa bed let us do more. We could lose ourselves in a good story, flip through magazines, or even watch our favorite shows using the entertainment options available. It was a place where time seemed to slow down, giving us a chance to enjoy the simple things we often miss out on.
This cozy spot transformed the way we saw traveling. It turned the journey from just getting from one place to another into a memorable part of our adventure. As we sat there, we felt connected to the road, the views, and each other. It became a space where we shared stories, laughter, and made our journey even more special.
Entertainment on Demand:
As we traveled on, we uncovered a world of entertainment right within our cozy caravan. The TV with OTT channels and Wi-Fi let us enjoy our favorite shows and movies, keeping us connected and entertained. The caravan’s good speakers added a special touch to our journey. We played music that matched the changing scenery outside, turning the road into our own musical adventure. The melodies mixed with the sounds of nature – the breeze in the leaves, the birds’ songs – creating a joyful symphony that made our trip even more memorable. It was like the soundtrack of our adventure, playing as we explored new places and made lasting memories.
The Convenience of Hygiene:
One of the coolest things about the Motohom Caravan was its super clean and well-equipped bathroom. It was awesome to have a clean and comfy place to freshen up or use the restroom, even in the middle of nowhere. This made our journey so much better because we didn’t have to worry about finding a clean place to take a break. The bathroom had everything we needed, which made stopping for a quick pit stop really easy. We could get back on the road without any fuss. Knowing that we had a clean and tidy bathroom also made us feel more relaxed during our road trip. We didn’t have to stress about finding a clean restroom along the way. This made the whole journey more enjoyable and worry-free.
In short, the awesome bathroom in the Motohom Caravan made our road trip way more comfortable and fun. It was a small thing that made a big difference in our adventure, and we’re really glad it was there!
Continuing the journey:
After covering a distance of 219 km on NH44, we arrived at Kurnool, which took us approximately 4 hours of travel time. Here, we decided to take a well-deserved break. During our stop, we explored the renowned Konda Reddy Fort, a fascinating historical site that intrigued us with its remarkable architecture. A friendly local guide shared the rich history of the fort, adding an extra layer of fascination to our visit. We continued our travel along the highway, eventually reaching a junction where we turned onto NH40. This road would guide us towards our final destination, Tirupati Balaji. By now, the sun was really strong, making it super-hot outside. But we weren’t bothered at all because our caravan had air conditioning that we could control. It felt nice and helped us enjoy the trip. After driving for about 4 hours and covering around 205 km, we arrived at Kadapa. We nicknamed it Bahubali’s Mama’s village. We took a break there for lunch at a famous place called Raj Mayura Gardenia. They suggested we try butter naan and paneer butter masala, and let me tell you, it was amazing! We also treated ourselves to some ice cream for dessert.
After a delicious and satisfying lunch, we got back on the road. We still had about 162 km to go before we reached the famous Tirupati Balaji Temple, a place considered very special and sacred.
We unfolded the sofa beds completely, creating comfortable sleeping spaces, and all of us enjoyed a peaceful nap for a while. Afterward, while playing calming music, we prepared ourselves some tea using the small kitchen in the van. We savored the view as we enjoyed our tea. After a journey lasting almost 11 hours, we finally arrived at Tirupati Balaji. We readied ourselves to visit the revered Tirupati Balaji temple. If it weren’t for the Motohom caravans, the trip could have been really tiring. However, we felt incredibly rejuvenated and at ease.
Discovering Tirupati:
Tirupati is a city in Andhra Pradesh, India, known for its famous Lord Venkateshwara Temple, which is visited by many people on pilgrimages. This temple is very rich and is also called Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, and Tirupati Balaji Temple. The main temple is on Tirumala Hill and is believed to be where Lord Venkateshwara appeared as an idol. Tirupati is an ancient city mentioned in old texts like Vedas and Puranas.
Tirupati has the main town area, while the Tirumala Hills have the Tirupati Balaji Temple, also known as Sri Venkateshwara Swami Vaari Temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a form of Lord Vishnu who came to Earth to help people. The temple is famous for its Tirupati Laddoo, a special sweet given as a blessing, which can only be made and sold there. People also shave their heads as an offering, and there’s a ritual called Thulabaram where things are weighed against a person.
The Sri Venkateshwara Temple is amazing, with continuous chanting, lots of pilgrims, and a big idol of Lord Venkateshwara. It’s spread over a large area and visited by many people daily. There’s also another temple called Padmavathi Temple nearby, dedicated to Goddess Padmavati, Lord Venkateshwara’s consort. Some people visit this temple before going to the main temple.
Tirupati has other temples too, like Sri Kalahasti temple, Sri Govindarajaswami Temple, Kondandarama Temple, Parashurameshwara Temple, and ISKCON temple. There’s also a cool rock formation called Silathoranam in the Tirumala Hills.
