• 1) Korlai Beach & Fort: Korlai Beach is one of the hidden gems of Mumbai. Situated at a little distance from the town of Alibaug, the main beach is located in the small fisher village of Korlai. Contrary to the usual sand beaches of Maharashtra, this one is full of green-yellow weeds, pink oxalis flowers and grassy meadows during the rainy season. In the heated summers and extreme winters, however, the beach becomes deserted and rocky without the velvet cover.
• 2) Kashid Beach: Located almost 30 km from Alibaug and 125 km from Mumbai, Kashid Beach is situated on the coasts of Arabian Sea. Famous for its beautiful white colour sand, Kashid is one of the cleanest beaches in north Konkan. The beach is stretched across 3 km and surrounded by shrubs and trees called Casuarina.
• 3) Murud Janjirah Fort: Murud Janjira Fort is a fortification located on an island off of the coastal village of Murud, 55 km from Alibag in Maharashtra. Towering up from a massive rock amidst the stretching azure of the Arabian Sea, this fort has stood the test of time as well as the test of resilience in the past. This fort is a must visit if you are travelling along the Konkan coast in Maharashtra.
• 4) Agardanda: Renowned for its backwaters and pristine environment is an extremely picturesque beach called Agardanda. This scenic beach is located in a village known as “Agardanda” in the Murud Janjira Taluka in the Raigad district in Maharashtra. In addition, situated in close proximity to this beach is the renowned Janjira Fort. Furthermore, palm trees that surround this beach helps add more charm to its overall scenic beauty. Additionally, this beautiful beach also provides for magnificent views of the “rising and setting sun”.
